Judith Ellen Young, born on March 24, 1943, in Ironwood, Michigan, passed away on May 30, 2026, in New Carlisle, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family and community.
Judith lived a life marked by quiet dignity, steady kindness, and a deep commitment to the people she loved. She was a proud high school graduate and served her country in the United States Navy for two years, an experience that reflected her sense of duty, discipline, and resilience.
Throughout her working years, Judith was employed as an office assistant, where she handled filing and banking responsibilities with care and reliability. She was known for her dependability and her ability to keep things organized and running smoothly. Family was central to Judith’s life, and she treasured the bonds she shared with those closest to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Urbano Baldovin and Lydia (Magnan) Baldovin and her husband Gerald Young. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Swanson, her brothers, Michael Baldwin and Jerry Baldowin, her brother-in-law, Doug Swanson, and her sister-in-law, Bernadette Baldwin. Their memories remained an important part of her life, and she carried them in her heart throughout the years.
Judith is survived by her daughters, Helen M. Brewer and her husband Greg, and Lydia Schneider, as well as her son, Karl Schneider and his wife Terri. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild, all of whom brought her great joy and pride. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Linda Baldowin. Her family will remember her for her love, her encouragement, and the steady presence she provided through the years.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Though her passing leaves a sorrowful void, Judith Ellen Young will be remembered with affection and gratitude for the life she lived and the love she gave. Her family and friends will hold close the many memories they shared with her, and her legacy will continue through the generations she helped shape.
