Julian Keiser Obituary

Julian G. Keiser, 90, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday January 18, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Julian was born on November 15, 1935, in Remington, IN, to the late Othar and Adah (Haycraft) Keiser.

After High School and just as the Korean War was ending Julian enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served as Sergeant with a designation as "rifleman”, instructing new recruits at Camp Lejeune.

On August 17, 1957, he married the love of his life, Delores Ann Guingrich, spending 68 years of devotion to each other.

Julian lived a life of service. On his return from the Marine Corps Julian attended Purdue University then became a conservation officer. He later joined the Indiana State Police proudly serving for 23 years. After retiring from the State, Julian served as a bailiff and oversaw security for the Marshall County Courthouse. Julian was a member of the American Legion Post 27 for 50 years, and served as Commander from 2006-2016.

Julian and Delores were blessed with 4 children: Ann (Jim) McWhirter of Monticello, IN, Steve (Lori) Keiser of Plymouth, IN, Kathy Keiser of Plymouth, IN, and Mark (Allison) Keiser of Plymouth, IN.

In addition to his wife and his children, he is also survived by his grandchildren; Abby (Mike) Todt of Leo, IN, Heidi Keiser of Salt Lake City, Utah, Matthew McGalliard of Plymouth, IN, Delaney (Sam) Wruble of Fort Wayne, IN, and Samuel Keiser of Plymouth, IN, as well as great grandchildren: Julia Todt, Greta Todt, and Harrison Wruble and his brothers, Jerry (Marilyn) Keiser of Cambridge, WI, and Jim (Luann) Keiser of Missouri.

Julian was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Joshua Dunning, and his brother, John Keiser.

A Mass will be held on Saturday February 14, 2026, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 612 N. Walnut St. Plymouth, IN. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10am until 11am when mass begins, and military honors will be rendered following mass. 

Memorial contributions in Julian’s name may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church.
