June Brandt Obituary

June Marie "Junebug" Brandt

June Marie “Junebug” Brandt, known for her profound faith, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, in South Bend, IN, at the age of 81, surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, June was the youngest of six children. She dedicated many years of service as a Pennsylvania State Employee, where her hard work and dedication were recognized with numerous awards.

To know June was to know a kind soul whose warmth radiated to everyone she met. She had a gentle way of offering wisdom that always brought comfort, making any worry seem a little lighter. She found great joy in the simple things in life—tending to her flowers, watching hummingbirds, and bringing family together with her delicious home cooking. She also loved music, and nothing brought a smile to her face quite like listening to Elvis Presley.

Above all, June carried a deep and steadfast faith in her heart. She was close to the Lord and lived her life as a reflection of His grace and love.

June is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Richard Brandt, who passed away in 2024; her dear mother, Bernice; and her sisters, Audrey Reisinger and Kay Haverstock.

Her legacy lives on through her family who loves her dearly, including her sons, Shane Brandt and his wife Laurie, and Shannon Brandt and his wife Kristen; her sister, Winifred Tanger; and her brothers, Larry Nelson and Ronnie Nelson. She also leaves behind a very special bond with her nieces and nephews.
