June “Erin” Brown

June 25, 1930 – January 11, 2019

SOUTH BEND – June “Erin” Brown, 88, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away Friday, January 11, 2019.

Erin was born in Berwick, PA to the late Henry and Mary (Linville) Krauss, and has been a lifelong resident of this area.  She is a graduate of St. Mary’s College with a BA in Literature, and has her Master’s Degree from Indiana University.  Erin was a retired teacher with the South Bend Community School Corporation.  She was also a published Author, loved to travel throughout Europe and the US. She was an avid reader, sometimes as much as 14 books a week.  She loved to shop and go to movies.

Erin was married to James M. Brown, who has preceded her in death.  She is survived by her son, Mark (Cindy) LaFortune; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jim) Hetrick, Jamie Hartzke, Jeff Sturgill, Jeff LaFortune, Justin LaFortune, Kayla Baloun, and Audra Aldrich; great-grandchildren, William and Jordan Hartzke, and Devon and Braxton LaFortune, Aubrey Dougall, and Nancy Six, a good friend and caregiver.
