Justin Alexander Christensen (August 1, 1972 – July 19,2026) passed away from cancer surrounded by people who loved him. He is preceded in death by his father, Tom Christensen. He leaves behind his partner of 12 years, Jodie Alexander; mother Suzanne (Tom) Christensen; sisters Jennifer (Kenneth) Bell, Elizabeth (Joseph) Castillo, and Katherine (David) Hodgson; nieces and nephews Vera Castillo, Garrett Hodgson, Frederick Castillo, and Alice Hodgson; and beloved friends Ed Everett, Tom Gajda, John Knight, Tim Lawson, and countless others.
Justin was a dreamer who freely pursued his passions, including renovating houses and realizing a lifelong dream of owning a used car lot, which he aptly named Justin Motors. Among his many memorable endeavors was Bubby Box, a vending machine at CJs Pub with vintage candy and novelty items that he and sister Jenni maintained as a hobby, bringing in way more laughs than profit.
Justin had a fun-loving nature and a wonder for life. He loved boats, architecture, and pizza. He collected fancy watches, broken-down cars, whimsical art, and especially friends. He spent his last months of life visiting loved ones, participating in and savoring every moment left to him. We will miss his incredible sense of humor, his creativity, his storytelling, his kindness, his fearlessness.
An open house celebration of Justin’s life will be held on his 54th birthday, August 1, 2026 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the North Shore Club House, 1600 Wildflower Way, South Bend, IN. Extra parking can be found by following North Shore Drive through the woods to the lot adjacent to the tennis courts.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Dismas House of South Bend, the Food Pantry of Northern Indiana, or River Bend Cancer Services.
