Karen M. Lapkiewicz

Karen M. Lapkiewicz, age 52 passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Ernestine Raclin House after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.

She was born in South Bend, IN on October, 28, 1970 and remained a lifelong resident.

Her mother, Gail (Stuban) Lapkiewicz preceded her in death.

Karen is survived by her sisters, Susan (George Yahle) Lapkiewicz and Cheryl Lapkiewicz, both of South Bend, IN; her nieces, Kelsey (Thomas) Klopenstein and Krista Kruszewski; her nephew, Braden Kruszewski; and a great-niece, Maia Klopenstein all of South Bend, IN; her father, Thomas Lapkiewicz, of South Bend, IN; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Karen worked at K&F Printing Systems, Partner’s Healthcare, Teachers Credit Union, Sephora, and Van Horne Jewelers throughout her career where she made many dear friends along the way.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no services at this time. Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.

Please honor Karen by taking a moment to do something she enjoyed – maybe grab an iced coffee, take a yoga class, go shopping, or have a cocktail and then smile as you honor her memory. She would love that!
