Kathryn Louise Clingenpeel

Kathryn Louise Clingenpeel, 86, of Mishawaka, IN., passed away at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Storypoint Assisted Living in Granger.

Kathryn was born on September 27, 1939, in Lansing, MI., to Carl R. Smith and Elsie F. (Deming) Petcher.

On October 7, 1956, Kathryn married James L. Clingenpeel at Highland Park Church. James preceded Kathryn in death on February 3, 1991. Kathryn was also preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Amos M. Petcher.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Clingenpeel of Mishawaka.

Kathryn worked at Crown International and retired in 2002.

Visitation for Kathryn will be held on Monday, July 20, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be on held on Tuesday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Mishawaka, 724 North Main Street, Mishawaka with one hour of visitation prior to the services. Pastor Pete Jones and Pastor Alan Carson will officiate the funeral services with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
