Kelsey Marie Martin, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on July 13, 2026.
Kelsey lived life with a spirit that was impossible to ignore. She was hysterically funny, endlessly loving, deeply kind, and just the right amount of spicy. She had a quick wit that could make anyone laugh, a heart that welcomed everyone, and a personality that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
For more than 20 years, Kelsey dedicated her career to caring for others as a Certified Medical Assistant. She took pride in helping her patients and was known for her compassion, kindness, and ability to put people at ease.
Outside of work, Kelsey's greatest loves were her beloved dogs, Bear and Ava, who brought her endless joy and companionship, and her nieces and nephews, whom she adored beyond measure. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. When she wasn't caring for others, she could often be found listening to music and her favorite true crime podcasts, spending time with her friends and family or hanging out at Treasurology.
Kelsey loved fiercely, laughed often, and embraced life with authenticity. Her humor, generosity, loyalty, and unwavering love for those closest to her made her truly unforgettable. She leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, love, and the reminder to never take life too seriously.
Kelsey is survived by her sister Jocelyn (Jack Edgarton) Martin of Granger, Indiana; brothers Tim (Lesa) Skinner of Amherst, Ohio; and Aaron (April) Skinner of Wadsworth. She was a proud and devoted aunt to Rylee, Noah, and Jayden Edgarton, and Regan and Mason Skinner, and great-aunt to Genevieve. She also leaves behind many beloved family members and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Denny & Donalyn Martin.
Though her time with us was far too short, the love she shared and the lives she touched will remain forever in the hearts of her family, friends, coworkers, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
There will be a celebration of life gathering on Wednesday, July 29th at Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel from 4pm to 6pm, with a service/time of sharing from 6pm to 7pm.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
