Kenneth M. Pickell, 72, of Granger passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on June 29, 2026.
Born on November 5, 1953 to Charles Pickell and Rose (Marchitello) Pickell in Fort Wayne, IN.
On October 30, 1976 he married the love of his life, Kim E. Neuhaus, who preceded him in death. They have two surviving children; Kelly S. (Jena) Pickell of South Bend, IN and Kristy H. (John) Pickell of New Carlisle, IN. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Hayden K. Boyd, Haylie J. Boyd and Sean T. Pickell, along with siblings; Daniel Pickell and Ethel “Peaches” Johnson. His brother Raymond Pickell precedes him in death.
Kenny worked for Conrail/Norfolk Southern for over 30 years. Besides his family, Kenny’s greatest love was his motorcycle. He would ride as often as possible, even completing his dream of driving the iconic Route 66 start to finish. Kenny loved his yearly fishing trips to Minnesota with his closest friends. Kenny was a huge lover of music. You’d most often find him listening to his vinyl collection with friends and just enjoying life. Friends and family can visit for Kenny’s Celebration of Life on Sunday, July 5 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at 30805 Lincoln Drive, Granger. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Pet Refuge, 4626 S. Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
