Kenneth E Shreve

Kenneth E. Shreve, 61 years old, passed away at 7:20 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his home.  Kenneth was born on October 1, 1956 in South Bend and has remained a lifelong resident.  On March 21, 1998 in South Bend, Ken and Jean Kozinski were united in marriage. 

Along with his wife, Jean, Kenny is survived by his two sons, Zach (Ashley) Shreve of South Bend and Ben (Cheryl Troyer) Shreve of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Kaiden, Sophia, Emma and Reagan; his mother and step-father, Shirley and Jerry Darling of Mishawaka; and one brother, Craig Shreve of Mishawaka; Sister-in-Law Janet (Chuck) Davidson of Texas; Brothers-in-Law Joe (Sabrina) Kozinski of Granger, Jim Kozinski of Indianapolis, John (Angie) Kozinski of Philadelphia, and Jeff (Aimee) Kozinski of Edwardsburg; and many beloved nieces and nephews.  Kenny was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Taylor; father, Jay Shreve; and brother, Ron Shreve. 

Ken retired from AT & T in 2015 after eighteen years of employment. He was known for his love of family and friends and his generosity. Kenny was especially fond of the 4th of July, fireworks, hosting family get-togethers and the spending time on the west side of town. Uncle Kenny’s nachos, his famous polish sausage and his blazing fireworks displays will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 19704 Johnson Road, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, May 20, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend were the Rosary will be recited at 2:00 p.m.  A private burial will be held at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend.
