Kimberly D. Childs

Kimberly Dawn Childs, 54 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, December 26, 2025, at her home. Kim was born on December 13, 1971, in Goshen, IN, to Jack and MaryAnn (Davenport) Hunsberger. Kim and Travis Dean Childs got married in Goshen on April 8, 1995. 

Kim’s survivors include Travis, her husband of 30 years, and her parents, Jack and MaryAnn Hunsberger. Kim grew up in Goshen, and she graduated from Cincinnati Christian University, where she met Travis. She worked at Walmart on the south side of South Bend as a pharmacy technician. Kim was known and beloved by everyone who met her. She was a daycare worker at Indiana University South Bend for 22 years before becoming a pharmacy technician.

A celebration of Kim’s life will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Goshen Christian Church, 2133 Berkey Avenue, Goshen, IN 46526. There will be a meal following the service. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend, is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kim may be donated to Goshen Christian Church, 2133 Berkey Ave., Goshen, IN 46526.
