Larry Earl Krueger, born December 16, 1946, in Niles, Michigan, passed away on March 28, 2026, leaving behind a life remembered with love, loyalty, and quiet strength.
He was a loving man whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around him. Larry spent much of his working life in manufacturing, where he was known for his dependable nature and strong work ethic. He approached his responsibilities with pride and dedication, and those who worked alongside him came to appreciate his character and consistency.
Larry found joy in life's simple and meaningful pleasures. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he especially loved spending time outdoors watching birds. Of all the wildlife he admired, hummingbirds held a special place in his heart. He also treasured time spent in the Upper Peninsula, where he could enjoy the beauty and peace of the region he loved. These interests reflected his appreciation for nature and the calm, thoughtful way he moved through the world.
He was also connected to his community through his involvement with the Eagles Club, the FOP, and the Moose Lodge in Niles. We can’t forget the love he had for the Green Bay Packers, watching games and rooting with other fans. These associations were part of the life he built among friends and neighbors, reflecting the fellowship and companionship he valued. Larry appreciated being around others, sharing stories, and enjoying the sense of belonging that came from these familiar places.
Family was an important part of Larry’s life. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Dawn Cornell; his niece, Sheila (Brian) Smith along with many other nieces and nephews; his sister, Cynthia (William) Havener; his brother, Allan (Paula) Krueger; and his granddaughter, Emmika (Austin) Cornell. He also leaves behind his great-grandsons, Asher and Avery, who brought joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra (Crump) Krueger, brothers, Harvey Krueger Jr. and David Lee Krueger, and his parents, Harvey and Ethel Krueger.
Larry will be remembered for the love he gave, the relationships he cherished, and the steady way he lived his life. His memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be missed by family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
