Lawrence "Larry" L. Petree

Lawrence L. Petree, 73 years old, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Holy Cross Wellness Living, South Bend.  Larry was born on April 30, 1952 in South Bend.  He has lived in South Bend most of his life, moving to Mishawaka in 2020.  Larry worked at U-Haul for 11 years.  He proudly served his country with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. 

Larry is survived by his mother, Geraldine Petree of Mishawaka; his children, Tara McCoy and Lawrence Petree Jr.; ten grandchildren; and his sister, Deborah Veler of Mishawaka.  Larry was preceded in death by his father, William Petree; and his sister, Beth Krawczyk.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend.  Military graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
