Lee Allen Bennett, 53 years old, passed away at 3:40 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Ernestine Raclin House in Mishawaka, IN. Lee was born on June 2, 1969 in Mishawaka to Dallas L. and Shirley Ann (Fuchs) Bennett. He has remained a lifelong area resident.
Lee is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Bennett of Lakeville; his two children, Samantha Bennett and Jay Bennett, both of Sevierville, TN; his best friend and companion, Gloria Pittman of Plymouth; sister, Lori (Neal) Wallace of Plymouth; three nephews, Nicholas (Chas) Wallace, Zachary (Rachel) Wallace, and Daniel (Nichole) Wallace; and the mother of his children, Jessica White of Sevierville, TN. Lee was preceded in death by his father, Dallas L. Bennett on December 11, 2021.
Lee worked as a plumber & pipefitter for Local 172 in South Bend. He was a member of the Lakeville Conservations Club. Lee was a giver and would do anything for anybody. He loved motorcycles, dirt bikes, along with hunting, trapping and fishing. Lee’s biggest hobby was spending time at the racecar shop with his people, supporting Concept Chassis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Pastor Mike Rayburn will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 21, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
