Linda S. Jacks passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in Mishawaka, IN. Born to Richard and Mary (Pierson) Holtz in South Bend, IN, on March 6, 1951, Linda's life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and the joy of simple pleasures.
A dedicated family woman, Linda’s legacy lives on through her loving husband of 55 years, Kevin Jacks, with whom she built a life full of shared adventures and unfaltering companionship. She was also the proud mother to her two sons, Stephen (Brenda) Jacks of Dowagiac, MI, and John (Samantha) Jacks of Three Rivers, MI, and daughter, Kelly Jacks of Bristol, IN. Remembering her with fondness is her late son, Christopher Jacks, who preceded her in death, but remained forever in her heart.
Linda’s joy multiplied with the laughter and love of her seven grandchildren: Shane Strom of Edwardsburg, MI; Sam Strom of Dowagiac, MI; Kelcy (Connor Johnson) Jacks, Dakota (Kylee Walton) Jacks, and Kalab Jacks, all from Three Rivers, MI; Chloe Bright of Lakeville, IN; and Brady Bright of Bristol, IN. Extending her legacy further was her adored great-grandchild, Ronan Jacks of Three Rivers, MI.
Linda is also survived by her two sisters-in-law: Debra (Bob) Barajas of South Bend, IN and Lorraine Fath of Westville, IN, as well as many family members and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Burgess.
A proud graduate of Clay High School in 1969, Linda took her dedication and care into the homes of families, helping them by cleaning with a touch that only she could provide. Her generous spirit and selflessness extended into every corner she tidied and each life she touched.
Linda’s zest for life was unmistakable. When she was younger, she loved to dance, moving to rhythms that matched her spirited personality. Escapes to the casino were a treat where she exhibited her playful side, and she had a passion for travel, exploring new places with the same enthusiasm she brought to every aspect of her life. Linda will be remembered for telling it like it is and never meeting a stranger.
The world is a little dimmer without Linda’s bright light, but her enduring spirit continues to shine through the many lives she touched. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Linda S. Jacks will be remembered for her unwavering love, radiant smile, and the undeniable positive impact she had on her corner of the world. Her dance through life was one of joy, and her steps will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved her.
No services will be held at this time. Linda’s ashes will be interred at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN. Palmer Funeral Home—River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
