Lona Bumbulis, age 92, born in Poland, passed away on July 5, 2026, the same date she was born in 1934, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Bumbulis, and by her daughter, Karen Bumbulis. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Erika Weber, and her brother, Oswald Jahnke. Lona is survived by her daughters, Diane (Kevin) Schafer-Hinkley and Susan (Mark) Logan-McCracken, and by her son, Donald (Veronica) Bumbulis. Lona enjoyed many things throughout her life, and she especially treasured trips with the Prime Timers group from First Church of God. These outings gave her the opportunity to share laughter, fellowship, and friendship with others. She also enjoyed crocheting, a pastime that reflected her patience and care, and she took great pleasure in cooking for those she loved. Above all, she valued time with her family, and those moments remained among her most treasured memories.
She had a quiet strength and a steady presence that brought comfort to others. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave of herself generously in ways both large and small. Her life was a beautiful example of devotion, faith, and enduring love.
