Lynda Swan Obituary

Lynda C. Swan, age 74, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026. She was born on July 22, 1951, in South Bend, IN, and lived a life marked by kindness, gentleness, and selflessness.

Lynda was the beloved wife of William M. Swan, who survives her. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Chantal Casto of Niles, MI, and her son, Christopher Curtis of Rockford, MI. She was also a cherished grandmother to Aaron (Rachel) Casto, Siara Casto, and Courtney Curtis. Her family was a source of great joy throughout her life, and she treasured the time she spent with those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Lou Everett, her father, Albert E. Morgan and her sister, Diana Kirk. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, John Kirk of South Bend. Lynda held her family close to her heart and was known for the steady love and quiet strength she brought to every relationship.

Lynda worked as a clerk at Michiana Antique Mall, where she was appreciated for her dependable nature and pleasant manner. She approached her work with care and sincerity, and those who knew her valued the warmth and grace she brought to everyday life. Her presence was a comfort to many, and she carried herself with a gentle spirit that left a lasting impression.

In her personal time, Lynda enjoyed reading and found pleasure in the simple joys of life. She loved watching bull riding and cooking shows, and she especially enjoyed boating and camping. These interests reflected her appreciation for both relaxation and adventure, and she embraced each with enthusiasm and contentment. Whether spending time outdoors or enjoying a quiet moment at home, she found happiness in the things that brought her peace.

Her memory will live on in the love she shared, the example she set, and the many lives she enriched through her compassion and care. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of warmth and devotion will remain a lasting comfort to all who knew her.

Cremation will take place and her ashes will be interred in the mausoleum at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. Palmer Funeral Home—River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
