Maggie Jenkins

Maggie Jenkins, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, age 70, of South Bend, IN, was called home to glory on Sunday, March 11th, 2018. Maggie was born on January 13th, 1948 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the union of William Jenkins, Sr. and Eliza (Anderson) Jenkins.

Maggie was a lifelong resident of South Bend and a proud mother to many. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Sonia R. White of South Bend, IN; brothers Rudy (Cecelia) Jenkins of Concord, CA and William Jenkins, Jr., sisters Lulu Jenkins and Mary Ann Jenkins, all of South Bend; grandchildren Montrice (Gabriel) Crump and AllanteÀ (Demarcus) White-Warren and a host of loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, William Jenkins, Sr. and Eliza (Anderson) Jenkins; sisters Mattie Green, Shirley Jenkins, Marcella Kimble-McNiell; brothers Willie Earl Jones and Garfield Jones; great-grandchildren Gabriella Crump, Demarion McCallister and Baby McCallister.

Funeral services for Maggie Jenkins will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 1232 E. Bronson Street, South Bend. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the church. Pastor Barry Spencer will officiate. Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
