Marcia Lynn Krafft passed away peacefully at the age of 60 on February 5, 2024, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Born on August 16, 1963, in Midland, Michigan, Marcia's life was a tapestry of dedication to her family, her career, and her heritage.
A devoted wife to Jeffrey Krafft and cherished mother to Emily, Roger (with fiancé Stephanie Hicks), and Chris, Marcia's unwavering support and boundless affection knew no limits. She was a sister who brought light and laughter to Pamela (Sid) Suggs, Kristin (Michael) Peake, and Bruce (Betty) Chaffee. Marcia's spirit was nourished by the rich legacy of her father, Roger Chaffee, and she continued to uphold the family values passed down from her beloved mother, Gail Chaffee, who preceded her in death.
A proud graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in Math, Marcia carved out a rewarding career as a Program Assistant for the PHM School Corporation, where her compassion deeply impacted the lives of many special needs children.
She enjoyed arts and crafts making a lot of dream catchers & jewelry. She also loved reading books. When it came to anything that had to do with her kids, she was wholeheartedly involved.
Marcia was also a dedicated member of the Thunderbolt Chickamauga Indian Nation, embracing her cultural interests with fervor. Her involvement with the community was a testament to her commitment to preserving and celebrating her indigenous heritage.
Marcia Lynn Krafft's journey through life was marked by her resilient spirit, her dedication to educating the young, and her heartfelt service to others. She will be profoundly missed and eternally remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.
A Memorial Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024 and 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel.
