Marcus Jason Foreman, age 57, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in South Bend, Indiana. Born on September 18, 1968, in Staten Island, New York, he lived a life marked by quiet strength and a steadfast commitment to service.
He was the son of the late Donald Foreman and Catherine D. Foreman of Bristol, Virginia. Marcus carried the values of hard work, loyalty, and perseverance with him from an early age, and those qualities remained evident in the way he lived each day. He graduated from high school and then served his country honorably in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that reflected his courage, discipline, and sense of duty.
Marcus was a caring and loving soul. He was employed as a cook at Holy Cross Health and Rehabilitation, where he was appreciated for the care he brought to his work. He took pride in providing for others, including animals and pets, and his efforts left a lasting impression on those around him.
Marcus is survived by his mother, Catherine D. Foreman of Bristol, Virginia; his two sons, Keith Conyers of New York and Cortny Foreman of Florida; his two grandchildren; his grandmother, Shirley Foreman; his girlfriend, Heather Cruz of South Bend, Indiana; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind many others who will cherish his memory and hold close the moments they shared with him. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Foreman.
