Marcy Suzonn (Dryden) Cortes

Marcy Suzonn (Dryden) Cortes, age 55, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on February 3, 2026. Marcy was born on March 15, 1970, in Orange, California, to the late Roth Dryden and Janice (Meinyer) Dryden. On December 4, 1993, in Downey, California, she married the love of her life, Angel Cortes, who survives.

Marcy is also survived by her three children: Bernal Cortes of Cambridge, Massachusetts; Tobias Cortes of South Bend, Indiana; and Emilia Cortes of South Bend, Indiana. She is further survived by her brothers, Mark Dryden of California and Chad Dryden of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Marcy found joy in life’s quieter moments. She loved reading—especially fiction—taking long walks, hiking, and spending time with her beloved cat, Fyo. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on February 13, 2026, at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, South Bend, Indiana. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice Care, Mishawaka, Indiana.
