Margaret M. Boner, 93, of South Bend, Indiana, a lifelong resident of Michiana, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026. Guided throughout her life by a deep faith in God. Margaret lived with generosity, purpose, and determination, devoting herself to helping others and strengthening the community she loved.

On June 2, 1951, Margaret married the love of her life, Warren E. Boner. Warren, along with their son Frank, her brother Norman Britt and sister in-laws Cleo Britt and Lou Anna Britt preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters Pamela Boner (Ferdi Hintze) and Mary Gibbons (Kevin); two grandchildren, Lauren McClintock (Joe) and Cory Gibbons; and three great‑granddaughters, Whitley, Willow, and Makenna. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her with affection.

A proud graduate of Mishawaka High School, Class of 1950, Margaret carried the values of hard work and service with her throughout her life. An avid walker, she often participated in walking events to raise money for various charities, blending her love of movement with her passion for helping others. She proudly described herself as a volunteer, and her decades of dedication touched countless lives. She gave her time to many organizations throughout the region, always offering a warm smile, a steady presence, and a willingness to help wherever she was needed.

Margaret served for many years as a docent at The History Museum, guiding visitors through the Copshaholm (Oliver) Mansion with enthusiasm and deep knowledge—continuing this  work until she was nearly 90. She was also a committed CAPPS volunteer for the Mishawaka Parks Department, where she volunteered alongside her niece, Merilee Britt, sharing both service and family connection.
