I just found out today that Marie went Home to be with the Lord. She was on my mind, so I tried to call her and found that her number was disconnected. Then I googled her name online. Wow.
We left Mishawaka in early October to head to FL for the winter. I was fortunate to get to spend some time with Marie in the fall before we left, helping her out a bit as she was recovering from her recent hospital/rehab stay. She was in such good spirits, and always had a smile and hug for me. The brief time I knew her, she was a Blessing to me. I sincerely enjoyed her company and being able to spend time with her as I did things for her around the house.
I will miss seeing her next spring when we get home, but I will look forward to seeing her in Heaven one sweet day. No doubt she is laughing, smiling and singing with the angels! Marie was a special lady, and my life is richer for having known her.
May the Lord Bless and Comfort her family and friends.

Terri, our prayers are with you during this difficult time. We did not know about your mother's illness or passing, and I'm sorry this message is arriving a little late. She will always be in your heart as a beautiful, kind, and loving mother. We are thinking of you, and we wish you peace and joy as you remember your dear mother. Love you....Bethy and Frank

I am so sorry for your loss, but it's a gain for her to enter heaven's gates. I'm sure a lot of wonderful memories will keep her alive in your hearts. Sorry I couldn't be there.

Love you,

Greg, thinking of you in your time of loss. It'll be two years November 7, since my dad died. Blessings to you and your family.

Thank you Barb for your thoughts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you as well with the passing of your Dad. I got to know your Dad a little bit while going to Marshall school when I first met you. I would play basketball outside at Marshall with Bob Basham, Dick Davis, Lenny Buysee and many others and he would stop by and play with us for a while. I also saw him at Erskine Golf Course many times and he always said hi and we would talk about golf for a while. Your Dad was a great guy, but you already know that. Will see you at the reunion next year.

This is a time of sorrow for all of us and yet more so a time of joy for Marie. The 89-years she spent on this earth were filled with giving, caring, sharing, encouraging, smiling, laughing, serving, cooking, and much loving. She will be so greatly missed and remembered for the energetic spirit she gave to everyone and everything she did. The holiday events we spent at Marie and Roy's were filled with delicious food (tea time tassies, anyone?) and playing poker after dinner. May we all celebrate the memories she was a part of in all our lives. Many thanks to the Trammell's who kindly shared Marie with us. She always said I love you before saying goodbye. We love YOU, Marie . . . Till we meet again. Kay

Thank you Dave and Rita for your thoughts and prayers. We each have lost a parent or both parents and it is a very difficult time seeing them pass. I feel all four of us were very fortunate to have such great parents and that makes it even tougher. We do have great memories of our parents and that means a great deal. Greg
