Marilyn E. (Sumpter) Coleman

Marilyn E. Coleman, 87, of Mishawaka passed away in her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.  Marilyn was born September 3, 1935 in Crumstown, Indiana to Cecil and Edna (Riddle) Sumpter.

Marilyn was united in Marriage with Andrew P. Coleman on March 14, 1953 in South Bend, Indiana and spent 42 years together before Andrew passed away in June of 1995.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Kim (Norman) Jacobs of Walkerton, In. Her sons, Sidney Coleman of Las Cruces, NM and Randy L. (Christine) Coleman of South Bend, IN.  Her sister Lois Miller of Birmingham, AL. Her Grandchildren, Sean, Rebecca, Nicole, Briana, Thomas, Alicia, Bruce, and Charles.  Also her Great Grandchildren, Saydi, Madison, Oliver and Kalaho.  Along with her husband preceding her in death, she was also preceded by her parents, her Sisters Joyce Leeper and Micky Murphy; her brother Richard Sumpter, and her Grandson, Anthony Harter.

There will be a private graveside service held at Riverview Cemetery.  Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
