Mark A. McGinnis, age 65, of South Bend, passed away Saturday morning in his home. He retired from Niles Precision as a machinist but always had a tool in his hand.
Mark was born on March 3, 1957 in South Bend to the late Charles and Rosemary McGinnis and has lived in this area all of his life. He married Diana (Ritchey) McGinnis in South Bend who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Abigail (Aaron) Mueller of Fort Wayne, IN and Paige (Clinton) Kominowski of South Bend, a son, Wesley (Jessica) McGinnis of Seattle, WA, four grandchildren, two sisters, Sue (Bob) Marshman, and Kathleen Putz both of South Bend, and two brothers, Brian (Char) McGinnis of South Bend, and Greg (Wendy) McGinnis of Walkerton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, at Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614. Friends and family may gather two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.
Mark was a true friend, best dad, and strong man. He loved bowling, and spending countless hours mowing his yard. He was a race car fan, and loved watching Notre Dame Football. A man true to his faith. All anyone had to do was ask for his help and he would be there, sometimes even when you thought you did not need it.
