Mary Ellen (Mix) Carper

Mary Ellen Carper, 82 years old, passed away Wednesday March 3, 2021 in Elkhart. She was born August 2, 1938 in Walker, Minnesota to the late Albert and Bessie (Worchester) Mix. On April 19, 1965 in Olympia, Washington, Mary married the love of her life, Dick Carper, who preceded her in death in 2012.

Mary worked as a Mary Kay consultant. Some of her favorite past times were to do puzzles and read. Her favorite television show to watch was General Hospital. She also always had her hair and nails done. Mary attended St. Peters Lutheran Church.

Mary is survived by her children, Pamela Lomax, Dianna (Thomas) Mauceri, Debra Ives, Diane (Eric) Little, Karen “Jody” Mauceri, Doreen A. Sensat, Scott (Cynthia) Carper, Andrew Dale (Melissa) Carper, and Rick (Suzy) Wilcox; 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her brother, Ted (Pat) Mix; and sister-in-law, Jeanie Mix.

Along with her parents and loving husband, Dick, Mary is preceded in death by her son, David Carper; granddaughter, Shawna Nesbitt; sister, Glenice Falye Bedell; and brother Allen Fredrick Mix.

Funeral services will be 10:30AM Monday, March 8, 2021 at St Peter Lutheran Church, 437 Dragoon Trail East, Mishawaka, IN 46544. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to service. Burial will follow immediately at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Palmer Funeral Homes-Bubb Chapel is assisting family with arrangements.
