Mary Kathryn (Haynes) Matheny

Mary Kathryn (Haynes) Matheny, 89, of Lakeville, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021.

Mary was born to the late Garrison and Dorothy (Knox) Haynes on January 13, 1931 in Mishawaka.

On December 5, 1962, she married William H. Matheny Sr.; he preceded her in death on February 22, 1976.

She retired from Uniroyal.  Mary was passionate about painting and she enjoyed teaching her art classes.  She attended and loved her church family at Olive Branch United Brethren Church in Lakeville.

Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lynn Davis of Lakeville; granddaughter, Amy (Johnny) Davis of Royal Center, and her son, Cole Trent; grandson, Travis Davis of Elkhart, and his children, Daivyn, Kaylynn, and Christopher Davis.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Matheny; and two sons, Danny and Rodney Davis.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Palmer Community Complex, 601 North Michigan Street, Lakeville, Indiana 46536. Friends may visit the family beginning at 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
