Mary Rene Treviño

Mary Rene Treviño, 71, of Niles, Michigan passed away at home on March 3, 2026. Mary was born on June 28, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Leonel and Shirley (Sherman) Treviño, who both preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her daughters Jade Elise Varela of Florida and Tricia Leigh Ugland of Colorado, and grandchildren Juliet, Santos, Leonardo, Rose, Trevor, Isabel and Colby. Mary is also survived by her siblings Len (Tatsiana) Treviño and Michelle (Gaby) Shakour, along with many nieces, nephews and life-long friends. On December 11, 2018, Mary married John Bosson, who preceded her in death in 2021. 

Mary attended St. Jude Catholic School, graduated from Penn High School, and attended Indiana University in South Bend, Indiana. Mary was an accomplished dancer and was a former member of the Sister of the Nile and Company Middle Eastern Dance Troupe. Mary was a gifted astrologer. Mary enjoyed multiple genres of music, art, dance, and yoga. Talented in cooking and homemaking, Mary enjoyed gardening and tending to nature. Mary worked in the specialties of health foods, herbal remedies, and nutrition.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a future date. Palmer Funeral Homes is handling Mary’s arrangements. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a charitable contribution in Mary’s name can please donate to a charity of their choice.
