Mary Nicole "Nikki" Oesch, a treasured mother, daughter, sister, and counselor, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, in Mishawaka, IN. Born in South Bend, IN, on April 14, 1980, Nikki's warmth and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her.
Her academic pursuits were a testament to her dedication to helping others. A proud alumna of Laville High School (Class of 1998), Nikki's drive for knowledge and service led her to Bethel University, where she earned 2 bachelor’s degrees, one in Human Services, the second in Criminal Justice, followed by a master’s degree in social work from Indiana University. Throughout her fulfilling career as a counselor, Nikki helped countless individuals navigate their challenges with empathetic understanding and profound wisdom.
Beyond her professional life, Nikki had an adventurous and fearless spirit who found joy in the freedom of the open road, often seen cruising on her cherished motorcycle. An avid reader, she would immerse herself in literature, always eager to discover new worlds and ideas. Nikki's unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her in service and shaping her into the incredible woman she was.
Most paramount in Nikki's heart was her role as a mother. Her sons, Dylan Parrott and Nathaniel Unger, were her pride and joy. She poured her love into every moment she shared with them, genuinely cherishing every opportunity to be a part of their lives and to witness their growth.
