Meredith Kay Tepe, age 36, of South Bend, passed away at home Monday morning. Meredith especially enjoyed her time as a preschool teacher and working in the hospitality industry where she met her husband and countless friends.
Meredith was born on September 13, 1986 in South Bend and has lived in this area all of her life. She graduated from Corpus Christi, St. Joseph High School and received a Bachelor of Art Degree from Indiana University, South Bend.
On May 28, 2015, in Negril, Jamacia, she married Branden Tepe who survives. Also surviving is Meredith’s mother, Ginger (Frank) Prusinski, father, Ronald Rupert, brother, Adam (Jessica) Rupert, maternal grandparents, Max Bergl and Karol Bergl, paternal grandmother, Kathy Rupert, paternal half-brother, Tristin Rupert and several nieces and nephews, all of South Bend.
Meredith was a shining light and the epitome of selflessness to anyone who knew her and those who she encountered. She will always be remembered for her ability to brighten anyone's day through her hilarious sense of humor, acts of kindness, and pure thoughtfulness. Meredith had a love for any animal or child who crossed her path but especially enjoyed being with her dogs and spending time in Key West with her family. She had passion for anything involving water and sun especially sport fishing, gardening, kayaking, and soaking in life as much as possible. She was and forever will be a true ray of sunlight to all.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, at Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. Friends may gather from 12:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
