Michael Raymond Finnerty

Michael R. Finnerty, of Anderson, IN., passed away on March 14, 2024, in South Bend, Indiana. Born on April 8, 1977, in Anderson, Indiana, Michael's journey was one marked by a deep love for his family, a passion for music, and an unwavering appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Michael was the beloved son of Vickie L. (Fuller) Finnerty and the late Norman W. Finnerty. He was a cherished grandson to Martha Fuller, brother to Ulhonda Salan and a treasured nephew to his uncles, Tim Fuller, Steve and Lesa Fuller, John and Teresa Fuller, Joseph and Belinda Finnerty, and Michael and Ann Finnerty, John Finnerty and his aunt, Rae Ann Ashbaugh. Michael's warmth and kindness also extended to his younger relatives, particularly his special nieces, Deyyanah Salam and Haley Amaya, who will fondly remember their uncle's gentle spirit and loving nature.

A proud graduate of Anderson High School, Michael's youthful enthusiasm was evident in his participation in the school band, where he honed his appreciation for music and teamwork. His love for music continued throughout his life, as he enjoyed listening to all types of music, which served as a soundtrack to his life's many moments.

Michael's interests were not limited to music alone; he was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solace in the tranquil waters that mirrored his calm and patient demeanor. Those who knew him will recall his quiet passion for the sport, his respect for nature, and the contented smile that graced his face with every catch.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Anderson, IN. Palmer Funeral Home - West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
