Michael Souwannasane

Sysawath “Michael” Souwannasane, 66 years old, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.  Michael was born on May 1, 1954 in Laos and came to the United States in 1975 and has remained a resident of the area since.  He worked as a machine operator and retired after 18 years.  Michael was united in marriage to Sokha Som in South Bend who survives. 

Michael is also survived by his daughters, Melissa Som of Granger and Susan Som of Fishers, IN, along with his son, Khamphone Souwannasane of Laos and granddaughter, Giselle Canales, who is one of his five grandchildren.  Also surviving is a great grandchild and one sister, Khamtan Sayyasone of Laos.

Michael was a wonderful husband and father, who had great sense of humor and was the life of the party.  He loved the art of a well manicured lawn and would spend hours on the upkeep of his lawn.
