Michael Tezich Obituary

Michael James Tezich, 79 years old, passed away at 9:58 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. Mike was born on August 14, 1940 in South Bend to the late Michael and Jeanne (Barich) Tezich. He was lived most of his life in South Bend, but he has resided in Elkhart for the past twenty years. After returning home from his service in the United States Army, he met the love of his life at the Riley-Washington football game. On March 24,1962 in South Bend, Mike and Linda C. Howard were united in marriage. 

Along with Linda, his loving wife of 57 years, survivors include their two children, Jami (Peter) Stacey of Lititz, PA, and Jon (Sheila) Tezich of Punta Gorda, FL; and five grandchildren, Lucas Stacey of Lancaster, PA; Dylan Stacey of Panama City, FL; Mikki Stacey of Charlottesville, VA; Corbin (Jessica) Tezich of Mishawaka; and Connor Tezich of South Bend. 

Mike worked for Simon Brothers for 25 years in sales, and he retired as sales manager. He was privileged to serve his country from October 1958 to October 1960 with the 287th MP Company, United States Army, Berlin Command. 

Per Mike’s wishes, there will be no services. Interment of Mike’s ashes will be held at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN. Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel is assisting the family. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Michael J. Tezich may be donated to the First Baptist Church, 53953 County Road 17, Bristol, IN  46507.
