Moss Cole, 70, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born on September 24, 1947 in Batesville, MS, to the union of R.J. and Mable (Hogan) Cole.
On January 27, 2013 at Spoken Word World Outreach Center in South Bend, Moss was united in marriage to the former Gwendolyn N. Fanning, who survives. In addition to his wife and mother, Moss is survived by daughters, Felicia (Michael Troy) Sailers of Tampa, FL, and LaQuisha Hill of Memphis, TN; son, Pendelton Cole of Memphis, TN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Fae Hamilton of Houston, TX; brother, Jeffrey (Virginia) Cole of Detroit, MI; and a host of cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Moss was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleophus Cole and Joelee Cole.
Moss proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1976. Moss was employed at Press Ganey and also served as a pastoral minister. He attended Spoken Word World Outreach Center in South Bend. He also worked the polls at every election for years.
A memorial service for Moss will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm at the funeral home prior to services.
