N. Marlene (Davis) Landry

 N. Marlene (Davis) Landry, 85, of South Bend passed away on Sunday July 23, 2023 at Morning View Assisted Living.

Marlene was born on September 14, 1937 in Atlanta, MO to the late Owen Davis and Helen (Stark) Davis.

Marlene met Lewis Eugene (Gene) Landry and on January 26, 1957 the two were married in South Bend.  They shared 30 years of marriage before his passing in 1987. 

Marlene worked as a legal secretary but always found time to help with many other projects including as a member of the Beta Chi Sorority, as a Cub Scout Den mother, Girls Scout leader, and with the PTA at Hay School.

Marlene is survived by her children; Kevin (Cozetta) Landry of Niles, Dennis (Dorothy) Landry of Salem, WI, Bryan (Karen) Landry of South Bend, and Dana Landry of Leesburg, IN.  Also surviving is her sister; Vicki Davis of South Bend along with 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Services for Marlene will be held at 1pm on Thursday July 27, 2023 at Grace United Methodist Church; 3012 S. Twyckenham Dr. South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family starting at 11 a.m. until the time of services. 

Memorial Contributions in Marlene’s name may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimers foundation.
