Nancy Lou May

Nancy Lou (Stielow) May, 78, a lifelong South Bend resident passed away on Friday November 10, 2023 at Healthwin, South Bend.

Nancy was born on May 2, 1945 to the late William Stielow and Ruby (Powers) Wiktorowicz.

Nancy worked for Kroger as a cake decorator, and was very talented.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was known for her kind and caring heart.

Nancy married George J. May Sr. on October 27, 1962, sharing 52 years of marriage before his passing in 2015.

Together they have two children; George J. May Jr. and Connie Holston.

Nancy is survived by her children, her grandchildren: Scott (Samantha) May, Valerie (Alphat) Holston, and Brittany (Justin) Stackman, 15 great grandchildren, and her siblings: Gloria Rowe and Irvin (Diane) Huenerkopf and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4pm-6pm on Wednesday November 15, 2023 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend.  Burial will occur at a later date at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
