Nancy L. (Pierce) Vida

Nancy L. Vida, 88, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away March 28, 2023.  Nancy was born on March 16, 1935 in New Carlisle, IN to the late Claude and Ruby (Althouse) Pierce.

Nancy worked in the Transportation Department for South Bend Community School Corporation for 23 years before retiring.

On June 14, 1952, in New Carlisle, Indiana, Nancy married Louis Vida who preceded her in death.

Nancy enjoyed doing puzzles, traveling, and going to lunch with fellow retired bus drivers.

Surviving are her children, LuAnn Dehner of Mishawaka, In., Cindy (Joe) Sypniewski of Georgetown, Tx., Joan (Jeff) Peterson of South Bend, In., Gary (JoAnn) Vida of South Bend, In., Robert Vida of Galien, Mi.  Also Nancy leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, her siblings, Carolyn Perras of Port St. Lucie, Fl., John Pierce of Alabama, Leo (Yvonne) Pierce of Walkerton, In., and “Jack” Claude (Evelyn) Pierce of South Bend, In.  Also preceding her in death was her daughter Jennifer (Vida) Kathan, Grandson Michael Dehner, sisters, Virginia Vida, Beverly Sult, and Pat Laskowski.

There will be no services at this time.
