Nancy Ellen White

Ms. Nancy Ellen White, 53, passed away at her home in South Bend on Friday, September 11, 2020. Nancy was born on April 10, 1967 to the late Frederick E. and Carol A. (Blackman) White.

Nancy was a life-long resident of South Bend and spent her time as a mother and homemaker. She was the proud mother of three and grandmother of three. Nancy was a compassionate, loving person who was always looking out for others. She enjoyed listening to music, crocheting and spending time outdoors at the lake. Nancy was a beloved companion, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, daughter and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her children: Juan Mercado of Mishawaka, Christina Mercado of South Bend and Brian Higbee of South Bend; three grandchildren: Mikaela Mercado, Xavier Mercado and Rayah Higbee; stepmother Linda White; sister Andrea Eberhard of Kalamazoo, MI; brothers Teddy White and Kenny White; close friend Mark Cooper of South Bend; several uncles: Ken and Tom in Indiana, Bob and Carl in Florida and Rex in Utah; as well as a host of many cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle.

Services for Ms. Nancy White will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Palmer Funeral Homes – West Chapel, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to services at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
