Norma J. Patrick

Norma J. Patrick, 83, a lifelong area resident passed away on Saturday May 9, 2026, at Millers Merry Manor in Walkerton.

Born in Plymouth, Indiana on April 13, 1943, to the late Claude and Gladys (Thayer) Sheneman.

On February 3, 1962, in North Liberty, IN she married the love of her life, Gene, and the two were married 59 years before Gene’s passing in 2021.  Together they owned and operated Gene’s Towing and Repair where Norma kept the books and kept things running.  When not at the shop she was a busy and loving mother and grandmother, caring for things at home as well.

Norma was a friend to so many.  She was a faithful member of the North Liberty United Methodist Church and a Rainbow Girl. 

Norma is survived by her daughter, Tammy Holderbaum, her grandchildren, Brandon (Tracie) Patrick and Jami Holderbaum, as well as her great grandsons, Austin Patrick and Ryder Patrick, and her brother, Dennis Sheneman.  Close friends and caregivers, Darwin and LuAnn Beron will also miss her sorely.

A visitation for Norma will be held from 10am until 11am on Saturday May 16, 2026, at the Palmer Funeral Home-North Liberty Chapel, 202 N. Main St. North Liberty.  A funeral service will begin at 11am and burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Traditions Hospice.
