Norman Pride Obituary

Norman A. Pride, 81, residing in South Bend, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. He was born February 6, 1939 in Washington, IN to the late Wilbur and Sadie (Woodall) Pride.
 
Norman served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He retired from the South Bend Medical Foundation after 16 years as supervisor of patient operations. Norman was also quite a handy man. He could fix anything and used to flip houses before it was a popular past time. He was a member of Granger Community Church.
 
On July 5, 2008 in Jacksonville, FL, Norman married the former Barbara Horvath, who survives. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sons, Ronald (Jenny) Pride of Jacksonville, FL and Richard (Kitty) Pride of Garland, TX; stepdaughter, Tracy (Mike) Holbert of Westland, MI and stepson, Mark (Pennie) Young of South Bend. Additionally, he is survived by grandchildren, Bambi (Matt) Pride-Stewart, Stone Hostrawser, Emma Hostrawser, Cody Holbert, Colton Holbert, Hunter Holbert, Brady Young and Blake Young; as well as his sister, Helen (Leroy) Meyer of Boonville, IN.
 
Private services will be held. Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
