Pamela K. Acito

Pamela K. (Newman) Acito,73, of South Bend passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday May 14, 2023.

Pamela was born in South Bend on January 25, 1950, to the late William C. and Marcelle (Martindale) Newman.

Pamela met and married Ralph Acito on October 23, 1970, in South Bend, sharing 52 years of marriage.

Pamela is survived by her husband Ralph Acito, children Kimberly (Reg) Acito-Tanig of Humble, TX and

Anthony (Rosemary) Acito of South Bend. 4 grandchildren survive, Sydney Acito, August Acito, Kaylee Tanig and Reece Tanig, along with her siblings: Karen (Greg) Probst of Indianapolis and Christopher Newman of South Bend.

Pam was a dedicated wife and mother and enjoyed raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow. She enjoyed being involved and supportive of their pursuits, such as being a cheerleading sponsor and chaperoning school trips. She could be found attending many of their extracurricular activities and cheering along the sidelines at swim meets, choir, band and orchestra shows and dance recitals. She enjoyed traveling and cherished sharing trips with family.

Pam graduated from Jackson High School in 1968 and attended IUSB. She held various positions over the years doing accounting work, sales positions, and working with South Bend Community Schools.

A memorial visitation for Pamela will be held from 4-7pm on Tuesday June 13, 2023, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. Internment will take place at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
