Pamela K. (Luther) Gerencser

Pamela K. Gerencser, 72 years old, passed away at 9:58 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Majestic Care, South Bend, surrounded by her loving family.  Pamela was born on April 29, 1953 in South Bend to the late Edgerton “Red” and Wilma (Yetter) Luther.  She has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend.  On December 6, 1975 in South Bend, Pamela and Alex J. Gerencser were united in marriage.  Alex preceded her in death on March 15, 2022 after 46 years of marriage.

Pamela is survived by her brother, Leonard (Nancy) Luther of Mishawaka; and her three nieces and one nephew, Robyn (Doug Engle) Luther, Raegan (Marc) Aldarondo, Ranelle (Kurt) Nimtz, and Russel Luther and their families. 

Per Pamela’s wishes, a private burial will be held at Highland Cemetery in South Bend where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.  Words of comfort may be left for Pamela’s family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
