Pamela Harrell Obituary

Life Reflections

Born Into Time:  Pamela Jean McMillan – Harrell was born on February 4, 1958, to the union of the late Tommie and Lonzella McMillan in Chicago, Illinois.  She was the 8th Child.

Born Again:  Pamela was born and reared in a Christian Home.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.  She went to Rhema Word International Ministries, under the leadership of Bishop Stephen Reed, Mishawaka, Indiana.

In This Life:  Pamela was a lifelong resident of the Midwest.  She married her life mate George White. She graduated from Calumet High School in Chicago, Illinois.  Pamela sang in the Inspirational choir and the Young Adult choir of New Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Chicago, Illinois.  Pamela cultivated a life rich in relationships and experiences.  Her profession was a cook at Memorial Hospital, in South Bend, Indiana.  There she not only nourished the bodies of those she served but also their spirits with her infectious smile and kind words.  Outside of work, Pamela was an avid softball player, a bingo player and an enthusiast and a lover of music and dance.  Her laughter was a frequent and welcome sound.  Bingo nights were a highlight of her week, where she enjoyed the camaraderie and the thrill of the game.  Music filled Pamela’s home – Gospel, Blues and R&B.  Pamela’s singing voice was absolutely beautiful, a joy that she shared with all who knew her.  She could often be found dancing to her favorite songs.  She was a beloved mother to her children son Raveon Verdel Harrell and daughter Revlon Vernail Harrell who were the center of her world.

The Will of God:  Pamela’s husband George White, parents, Tommie and Lonzella McMillan, Grandchild Kristoffer Morris, brothers Alfred Conner, Vernon Conner, and Tommie McMillan, Jr., and Sister Terry McMillan-King, preceded her in transitional victory.

In Celebration of Her Life:  Pamela leaves to cherish her memory:  her loving children: son Raveon Verdel Harrell of Michigan City, Indiana; daughter Revlon Vernail Harrell of South Bend, Indiana; grandchildren Raveonna Harrell; Raveon Davis; Rae’onna Harrell and Kae’onna Morris of South Bend, Indiana; Sisters Shirley Boykins, Della McMillan, Lizzie McMillan, of South Bend, Indiana; Eloise McMillan of  Mishawaka, Indiana.  Brothers Charles McMillan of Mishawaka, Indiana; Aaron McMillan (Burnill), Maurice McMillan of South Bend, Indiana; Cletus McMillan (Carole) of Park Forest, Illinois: a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

Special Thank You to Cousins: Michael Holiday and Eugene Scruggs.

Special Thank You to best friend Lisa Stewart.

Born Into Eternity:  at 8:26 pm EST., Thursday, February 15, 2024, Pamela took her Master’s hand, and her journey down here was over.  No more suffering, no more pain, praise the Lord.
