Pandora Louis (Marbley) Simmons

Pandora L. Simmons, 69, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who resided on Leer St., South Bend, Indiana, transitioned from this life on Friday April 17, 2026, unexpectedly.

Born September 1st, 1956, to Dessie Marbley.  She was a lifetime resident of South Bend, IN., where she met the love of her life Jerry A. Simmons, married January 1st, 1989.

Pandora gave 18 years of service for the University of Notre Dame where she loved and enjoyed the students.

Pandora leaves to cherish her memory her son, Martines (Tameka) Marbley, Granddaughters; Satchell Brock, Arzenia Williams, Nephatha Williams (Tia), Breonna Frison.  Grandsons; Antonio Frison, Robert Frison, Jeremiah Williams, Quentin Williams, Great Grandchildren; Za-Miyrah Alson, Tyler George, Skye Williams, Elias Frison, Brailee Wilson. Her siblings; Dorothy Causey, Daisy Smith, Sherry Marbley, Marsha (Thomas) Long, Jannice (Ron) Johnson, Debbie Erwin, Larry (Dorthy) Marbley, Todd Marbley, Mark Marbley and very special friend Lee along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pandora was preceded in death by her mother Dessie Marbley, her husband Jerry Simmons, her loving sons Otis Marbley, Jerry Michael Simmons, brother Gary Marbley, Dennis Marbley, sister Dorris Lewis, nieces Natalie Moton, and Dessie Lewis

Funeral Services for Pandora will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in South Bend.
