Pastor Dr. Mark Williams

Pastor Dr. Mark Phillip Williams, age 75, of Granger, Indiana, passed away on July 9, 2026, in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was born on July 13, 1950, in South Bend, Indiana, and lived a life marked by faith, devotion, service, and love for his family and community.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca (Gentry) Williams, whom he married on December 19, 1970, at the Apostolic Temple in South Bend, Indiana. He also leaves behind his daughters, Rachael Williams and Rebecca Williams; his sons, Benjamin (Winifrid) Williams and Nathaniel (Angela) Williams; and his sister-in-law, Patricia Williams. He was a cherished grandfather to Samuel (Amanda), Anthony, Elania, Guinevere, and Vivian, and a beloved great-grandfather to Oliver, Nevaeh, Aiden, and Auroa. He was preceded in death by his father, Milford Williams; his mother, Joan (Zimmerman) Williams; and his brothers, Bill Williams and John Paul Williams.

Mark graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia, Michigan, with the class of 1968. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in business in 1977 and his MBA in 1979, both from Indiana University South Bend. His commitment to learning and ministry continued throughout his life, and he later earned a Master of Divinity from Regent University in 2018 and a Doctorate of Divinity from Regent University in 2022.

For more than 55 years, Mark faithfully served as a pastor, dedicating his life to sharing the gospel and caring for others. He served as lead pastor at Word of Life in Mishawaka for 14 years, as lead pastor at Messiah Fellowship in Mishawaka for 4 years, and as lead pastor at Messiah Christian Fellowship in Granger, Indiana, for 10 years. His ministry touched countless lives, and he was known for his steady leadership, compassionate heart, and unwavering devotion to God’s word. In addition to his pastoral work, he also had a deep appreciation for technology and worked as an IT consultant for more than 25 years.

Mark had many gifts and interests that brought joy to those around him. He enjoyed creating graphics, was a gifted writer, and loved to study the Bible. He was also a talented trombone and trumpet player, and he found joy in listening to worship music. He enjoyed golfing and was a devoted Notre Dame football fan. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family and friends, and those moments were among the greatest blessings of his life.

Mark Phillip Williams will be remembered as a man of faith, wisdom, kindness, and dedication. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched through his ministry, his work, and his love for those closest to him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A time to visit with the family will be on Thursday, July 16th, 2026, from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. A celebration of life will begin at 1 p.m. all being held at Grace Point Church, 54662 Ash Rd. Osceola, IN 46561.  A graveside service will be on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Wright Cemetery, 10501 Turkey Creek Rd. Hudson, IN. Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel is honored to be assisting the family with final arrangements.
