Patty Molnar-Simrell Obituary
Patty Molnar-Simrell, 75 years old, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Hospice House, South Bend. Patty was born on December 22, 1944 in South Bend to the late Walter and Georgianna (Davison) Thielka. She has lived in South Bend most of her life, residing in Rochester, IN for the past four years.
Patty is survived by her loving husband, Raymond “Tom” Simrell; daughters, Dawn Molnar of Indianapolis and Heather (Bob Urena) Neefe of Bensenville, IL; step-sons, Jason (Robyn) Simrell of Jacksonville, FL and Aaron Simrell of Niles, MI. She was a special grandmother of Skyler, Hunter, Brenden, Claire, Sierra, Ash, Alyssa and Ethan.
Patty was a mortgage loan officer with 1st Source Bank. She also enjoyed her time as a real estate agent. Patty was warm, generous, loving, feisty and outgoing. She met friends everywhere she went. Patty’s spirit will leave a forever-mark on those she loved as her own. She was known as “Ma” to many including: Tracey, Angie, Tricia, Shelly, Jenny and many others.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to services
