Peggy M. Champion

Peggy M. Champion, 89, of Mishawaka, IN., passed away at 8:40 a.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Creekside Village Mishawaka.

Peggy was born on July 6, 1933 in Russellville, KY to Emmitt and Pauline (Hallmon) Matthews.

On July 7, 1952 Peggy married Lewis J. Champion. Lewis preceded Peggy in death on November 5, 2005.

Peggy was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Jean Smith and a brother, Jim Matthews.

Peggy is survived by her two sons, Tim Champion and Thomas Champion, three grandchildren; Michelle Champion, Katie Champion and Melissa Edwards, seven great grandchildren and one sister, Stella Mason. Peggy worked for Uniroyal and Valley Screen and she owned and operated Golden Frame Beauty Spa. Visitation for Peggy will be on Monday, October 10 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka.  Graveside services will be held after the visitation at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made at the donor’s choice.
