Phyllis Casper Obituary
Phyllis Jean Casper, 92, passed away at 3:45 pm Monday, May 16, 2022, in her home at Holy Cross Village, Notre Dame. She was born July 2, 1929, in South Bend to the late Glen E. and Marian (Ellis) Marvin and remained a lifelong area resident.
On March 28, 1948, Phyllis married Everette Daniel Casper, who preceded her in death on December 21, 2013. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Shelton of Dowagiac, MI, Diane (Mike) Williams of Clarksville, TN and Brenda Sawka of Granger, IN; sister, Joyce White of Mishawaka, IN; and brother, Jerry Marvin of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by brothers, Burl & Bill Marvin; and sister, Martha Melton
Phyllis was a clerk at Kmart for 20 years before retiring.
Funeral services for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 21, 2022, in the Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Deacon Mike Williams will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 – 11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home prior to services.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Phyllis may be donated to Center for Hospice Care, c/o Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
