Quinn Frame Obituary

Quinn Sophia Frame, 14, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 in Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, with her parents by her side.

Quinn was born on December 14, 2006 in Indianapolis to John N. Frame and Stephanie D. (Ball) Frame. They survive along with her sisters, Madison and Reid; brother, Coby; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Patricia Ball; paternal grandparents, Sharon and Glenn Ward and Curt and Darlene Frame; aunts and uncles, Tim and Stacy Willis, Ken and Peggy Frame, Roger and Jenni Hansen, and Mike and Amy Saurer. A baby brother, John Thomas Frame, passed away at birth.

Quinn was healthy and her passing was unexpected, but related to her condition, hydrocephalus. In our despair we found imperfect hope knowing that she has impacted four lives and families through organ donation. She was always a blessing to others. In our despair we found perfect hope knowing we will see her again without the limitations her physical condition presented. She is swimming with her head underwater for as long as she likes, and there are no lifeguards anxiously watching over her. She is also filling her own cup, without lid or straw, with chocolate milk.

Quinn was the most determined person the world has known, and her self-advocacy would put many adults to shame. She was vocal, but not verbal, and used a wide range of happy sounds as well as frustrated sounds. It was your problem if the communication was impaired, and she was not beyond giving you the stop hand if you were not paying attention.

Quinn was passionate about swimming, the water providing her with independence in movement.  She loved her toys with sounds and lights and was quickly able to understand how to make a new toy perform. She enjoyed videos with a heavy ratio of music to dialogue, but was learning to appreciate the extended story. Quinn preferred videos to her liking, but was able to share so we could watch Star Wars, most recently The Mandalorian. She was a big fan of Taylor Swift.
