Ramon Guerrero Obituary

Ramon Guerrero, 58, of Niles, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan.

Born on October 25, 1967, in Manuel Doblado, Guanajuato, Mexico, Ramon was the beloved son of Pedro Lopez and Jovita Lopez. He came to the United States in search of a better life for his family and became known as a hardworking, humble, and caring man who always placed the needs of others before his own.

Ramon worked for many years as a laborer at Michigan State University. He took great pride in providing for his family and was respected by all who knew him for his dedication, strength, and quiet kindness.

Above all else, Ramon loved his family. He treasured spending time with those he loved most, especially his grandchildren. Whether he was outdoors, listening to music that brought him happiness, or simply gathered with family, Ramon found joy in life’s simple blessings. His warm smile, generous heart, and steady presence will be deeply missed.

Ramon is survived by his loving wife, Guillermina Guerrero; his children, Hector Chavez, Eduardo Guerrero, Jose Ramon Guerrero, and Daniela Guerrero; and his five cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Jovita Lopez; and brothers, Juan Lopez, Rogelio Lopez, and Francisco Lopez.

Family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer Chapel 17033 Cleveland Rd South Bend, IN 46635. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 219 S. State St. Niles, MI 49120 with Fr. Christian Johnston presiding. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles, MI.

Ramon’s love, laughter, and devotion to his family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
